Contribute to the Emir Abdelkader Collection

The data controller is Shanez Kechroud, editor of the Emir Abdelkader collection. To exercise a right relating to your data, use the Contributions form, choose Other and write Personal data in the title of your request.

When you submit a contribution, the site may receive your name, email address, contribution type and title, an optional link, your description and confirmation of your declaration. These elements are used only to review the proposal, verify its provenance, contact you when necessary and document any possible inclusion in the collection. The site does not create user accounts or commercial profiles.

Form data is sent to Web3Forms so that it can be delivered to the collection inbox. Web3Forms states that its servers are located in the US East region of the United States. Its public documentation is not fully consistent about submission retention, so the collection does not present a provider retention period as certain and invites users to consult the provider documentation directly.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any hosting provider, Vercel may process technical data required for delivery, security and abuse prevention, including IP addresses and request information. Vercel states that standard runtime logs are retained for three days.

Site fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When a browser contacts a Google service, technical information such as IP address, browser type and request date and time may be processed by Google under its own privacy policy.

Video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube servers when they become necessary for display. The YouTube player itself is loaded only after an action from you. It uses the youtube nocookie domain in privacy enhanced mode. YouTube states that views in this mode are not used to personalise the viewer’s browsing experience on YouTube.

The site code does not set analytics or advertising cookies and no analytics solution is integrated. Contributions received are retained only for as long as necessary to review them, verify provenance and conduct useful correspondence, then deleted when they are no longer needed. Third party services have their own retention rules.

Algerian Law No. 18 07 of 10 June 2018 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data, as amended and supplemented by Law No. 25 11 of 24 July 2025, provides in particular for rights to information, access, rectification and objection under the conditions set by law. You may also contact the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data.

Links to libraries, publishers, institutions, bibliographic platforms and other external websites take you outside the Emir Abdelkader collection. Their own privacy policies then apply. This notice may be updated if site features, providers or the applicable framework change.
