Ibn ʿArabi, an intellectual influence to document
Ibn ʿArabi’s presence in Emir Abdelkader’s intellectual horizon can be traced through the study of his spiritual writings. It should not, however, be turned without evidence into a direct initiatic chain.
Influence is not lineage
A work may provide vocabulary, concepts and an architecture of thought without proving personal transmission. The dossier maintains that distinction to preserve historical and spiritual precision.

French editions of the Kitāb al-Mawāqif provide documented access to this intellectual relationship. They should be read as scholarly translations and presentations, with their terminological choices and critical apparatus.
